Requirement : Provide user-friendly graphical reports to clients, to enable easy management of Storage Area Networks (SAN); To provide option for multiple databases; To charge and provide user-friendly billing information for storage and backup usage; A tool to manipulate files through user-friendly interface

Websym is involved in the architecture and design, implementation, schema enhancements, optimization, functional/stress testing and delivery/deployment of the software

Solution : It provides a graphical user interface for generating Network Topology, backup reports for schedules across enterprise sites and file access history across file systems; The entire application was migrated from Sybase to MS SQL Server without modification to front end; Billing module, a reporting module to charge and retrieve storage space and backup usage info for individual user; Configuration tool is a customised interface built using swing to create, edit and save predefined properties in text files, which are used by services running on OS
